Built by a Neighbor

Rafeal never planned to be an exterminator. When rats filled his neighborhood, he jumped in and took control, and his neighbors noticed. One call became ten, and Sheretz Control became a business.

For years, Rafeal has been known in the industry for doing the job right: honest advice, careful work, and following up until the problem is gone. That's why our customers keep coming back, and keep sending their friends and neighbors.

Today his son, Ben, works right beside him. Ben learned the trade from his father, one job at a time, and is getting ready to take over the business. Same family, same standards: the next generation of Sheretz Control.

Common questions

Are your treatments safe for my kids and pets?

We pick products and methods for the specific problem, apply them where pests live rather than everywhere, and tell you exactly how to prepare and when treated areas are safe to use again. Always follow the instructions your technician gives you and the product label.

How many visits will I need?

It depends on the pest and how established it is. Ants or a wasp nest can often be handled in one visit. Bed bugs and cockroaches usually need a follow-up. After the inspection we tell you the plan and the price before we start.

Do I have to leave my home during treatment?

For most treatments, no, or only for a short time. Some services, such as certain bed bug treatments, need you to stay out of treated rooms for a set period. We will tell you ahead of time.

How do I prepare for a bed bug treatment?

We give you a prep checklist. It usually includes washing and drying bedding and clothing on high heat, clearing clutter around beds, and not moving items between rooms before we arrive.

Do you remove raccoons, skunks, woodchucks and other wildlife?

Yes. Raccoons, skunks, squirrels, opossums, woodchucks (groundhogs) and bats. We use humane live traps and exclusion, remove the animal, and seal the openings so it can't get back in.

Do you work with landlords, property managers and businesses?

Yes. We handle single apartments, whole buildings and commercial spaces, on a one-time or scheduled basis, and we keep a written record of every service visit.
